Welcome, Cedar, the first baby of the year!  Juniper, our Friesian ewe, had her first lambs, boy and girl, this morning, and looks to be doing a great job.  She's got tons of milk - she is a milking sheep, after all! - and I will hopefully start milking her in just a few days.  I'll probably try milking her a teeny bit this afternoon, just to have an idea of how full she is.  Even with two babies, she could get engorged quickly if they aren't able to nurse enough quickly enough.  There is one more ewe looking very close to lambing, II'm hoping to have the two of them to milk together in the next few days.  Yay, fresh milk and cheese!

I've been meaning to do a post on wool dryer balls for a week now - when I first started making them, I couldn't find any information on doing it the way I wanted to, so I thought a nice tutorial was in order for those who may have the same fleece needs as me.  Unfortunately, I'm way too busy today -- and tomorrow - and I forgot to take pictures when I made a bunch of them this weekend!  So - coming soon, the How to Make Dryer Balls out of "Trash" Fleece tutorial, hopefully with photos!

Also, coming soon - more babies!  As I said, one more sheep looks very close, and the remaining three should be soon as well.  The goats officially start a week from Wednesday, and most of them usually kid in the first 2-3 weeks, so it's going to be a flurry of babies for the next month :)  I'll keep y'all posted!
